Gates - Fence Gates, Garden Gates

A gate is an integral part of your fence.  Gates can be built to blend in with the fence or stand out.  Garden gates are usually designed to stand out from the rest of the fence, but a gate can be designed to look like the fence so that the line is unbroken. 

We have standard gate designs, but will design custom gates.  We are happy to custom design and build cypress gates or cedar gates for any fence project. 

Gates can be designed to blend in with a fence or break the line of the fence.  Gates can be accented with arbors or trellis, or hung as a focal point without additional accent.  Gate hardware can allow access from just one side or both sides of the gate.

The Ponte Vedra Gate, above, is solid cypress.  The gate is fully mortise and tenon jointed, and the only nails in the gate are finish nails to hold the quarter round that frames the middle section.  While this gate has been stained, cypress looks fantastic in a clear stain due to the beautiful grains of the wood.

 The Sumpter Gate, right, is solid cedar.  The arch of the gate breaks the line of the fence. 

The Ponte Vedra Double Gate, below, is solid cypress.  Like the single Ponte Vedra Gate, the Double is fully mortise and tenon jointed. 

Gates are hung with ball-bearing hinges.  Posts that support gates are fully set in concrete.  This prevents future sag in the gate.  Gates may be fitted with latches designed for gates, or even hardware designed for doors. 

 All gates are custom designed.  We communicate with you via telephone, fax, email, and an online private client folder to bring your ideas to life.  All designs must be approved and paid in full before build begins.
