Q: What should I do before installing a fence on my property?
A: Before installing a fence you should check with the municipality regarding zoning ordinances and building codes in your area. It is also advisable to discuss your fencing plans with your neighbors to make sure that your fence isn’t an intrusion, and that there are no objections to tie-ins with existing fence. Have a company check for underground cables prior to the start of the project. Permits for board fence, if required, must be obtained by the landowner, unless otherwise contracted. We provide a General Contractor to pull permits for homeowners for stucco walls. We provide engineered drawings for permitting our stucco walls upon contracting for commercial contracts.
Q: Do you clear land for fencing?
A: Prior to fencing, land must be cleared at the fence line. Right of way varies depending on the fence being installed. You may clear land yourself, or we can arrange to have land cleared for you. We will be happy to consult with you on individual projects.
Q: Why should I use a professional fence contractor to install my fencing?
A: Professional fence contractors have the training, experience and equipment needed to install your fencing properly. Substandard fence installation will shorten the life of your fence, reducing or eliminating any cost savings. We are professionals - we do it right the first time. We also carry liability insurance and workman's compensation, and provide insurance documentation after contracting upon request.
Q: Do you require a deposit up front?
A: A deposit of 50% of the projected total cost is due when both parties enter into a contract. The balance is due upon completion of the project. In some cases, a larger deposit may be required. Large projects will require progress payments as timeline goals are met. Commercial projects are bid according to custom.
Q: Can I purchase materials only?
A: Wood fence panels, stained or unstained, are available by special order.
Q: I don't see the fence I want. Do you custom build?
A: Yes, we custom build. Each horse fence and deer fence is a custom build, depending on materials selected and individual qualities of the land being fenced. Stucco wall is site-built, according to the client's needs and desires. For residential installations, our staff includes skilled artisans and we can build your fence no matter how intricate. Plans are developed through telephone, fax, and online communication. We prepare an online "build" page for your custom project, where you can view and approve your design.
Q: I don't see any prices. How much will it cost?
A: There are two reasons we don't price our products on our web site. First, our fences are built from commodity goods. We quote our prices depending on the cost of those goods, such as wood or steel. Prices are good for 15-30 days from our quote.
Second, each client will require some level of custom work, depending on selection of materials, finish details, terrain, and more. Please visit the Contact Page and we will gladly discuss your project with you.
